Inspiration that lives on

Essex charity The David Randall Foundation were inspired by the courage and determination of David Randall, a lifelong member of Maldon CC and close friend and cricket partner of England Captain and ex-Maldon player Sir Alastair Cook.

When David learned of his incurable condition at only 27 years of age, he immediately set about packing as much fun and friendship as possible into the short time left to him.

Following his example, and with Alastair as patron, the charity now raises funds to help Essex families with members coping with life-limiting conditions to spend as much time together as enjoyably as possible.
